REGULATIONS
1. This regulation aims to govern the organization and operational guidelines of the Baetón Contest, which aims to create three baetones through collaborations between submitted artworks and master weavers in Santiago del Estero, Argentina, translating them into the Baetón technique.
2. From now on we will call Baetón the tapestry made in the context of the Baetón Contest.
3. Projects will be submitted under pseudonyms.
4. Each participant may submit only one work.
5. To participate, proposals must be submitted within the specified deadline published on www.amorada.com.ar, complying with the requirements established in this regulation.
6. The digital registration form must be completed and include the data stipulated in the respective terms and conditions of the event.
7. Acceptance of the jury role implies knowledge, acceptance, and commitment to comply with this regulation, to which their actions must adhere.
8. The jury will deliberate remotely, using a provided virtual platform.
9. Decisions by the jury will require a simple majority of votes.
10. Jury decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
11. The jury will select works deemed suitable for the event. Non-selected works cannot participate. There are no limitations on the number of selected works, except those related to the specific techniques of baetón.
12. Selected works must be submitted in digital format at 150 dpi final size within the specified deadline in the activities schedule. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in automatic exclusion from the event without the right to appeal, and the prize will be awarded to the next highest-voted proposal.
13. Failure to deliver the work and/or to comply with the collaboration proposal with the designated weaver within the set deadline will be considered a waiver of participation in the contest and, consequently, of producing the baetón. In such cases, the next highest-voted proposal will be invited. No claims will be accepted.
14. Initially, three images from various authors or collectives will be considered as prizes. These will be materialized into baetones by the SachaMama weavers in a co-authorship exchange between contestant and designated weaver, following the baetón technique.
15. Subsequently, from these three pieces, first, second, and third prizes will be selected. The collaborative work experience will be reflected in the final piece, which is the founding prize of this contest.
16. It is stipulated that a percentage of the sale of each resulting baetón will be awarded as a prize to each co-author: 30% to the contestant, 30% to the weaver 40% Amorada.
17. The awarded projects may be rewoven, resulting in a closed series of 6. Each sale of a baetón will recognize the corresponding percentage to its co-author.
18. Argentine and foreign artists may participate without age limits.
19. Amorada may edit, publish, represent, and reproduce images of the winning works on any physical medium without temporal, spatial, quantitative, or other limitations, always acknowledging the authorship of the piece.
20. Expiration of the deadlines specified in this regulation will occur automatically without further notice.
21. Six months after the deadline for prize retrieval, Amorada will be released from liability for any damages that the artworks may incur. The author forfeits the right to make claims. Costs and responsibilities related to the retrieval and transport of the artwork will be solely borne by the author.
